Pinqo Account & Data Deletion Policy
Effective date: 16 September 2026
1. How to delete your account
You can initiate account deletion directly inside Pinqo from the account or profile settings.
After you select the account-deletion option and confirm the request, Pinqo begins the deletion process for your account.
The deletion process is designed to be idempotent, which means repeated requests for the same account do not create multiple independent deletion processes.
2. If you cannot access the app
If you cannot access your account through the Pinqo app, you may contact us at:
Where necessary, we may ask for reasonable information to verify that the request relates to your account.
Do not include passwords, authentication tokens, payment-card details or other sensitive credentials in your email.
3. What Pinqo deletes
When account deletion is completed, Pinqo is designed to delete user-scoped data under its control, including:
- your Pinqo account record;
- saved library items;
- categories and tags;
- favorites and associated library metadata;
- private screenshots and uploaded images stored under your user account;
- user-scoped OCR and AI-generated organization data;
- saved-item semantic-search embeddings;
- user-scoped AI usage and organization records;
- subscription entitlement and transaction records stored by Pinqo, where applicable;
- your Supabase authentication account;
- stored Apple Sign in authorization token, where applicable.
Where a valid Apple authorization token is available, Pinqo attempts to revoke the Apple authorization before deleting the authentication account.
If no Apple revocation token is available, deletion of the Pinqo account may still proceed.
4. What may remain after deletion
Some limited information may remain after account deletion for technical, security, legal or provider-controlled reasons.
This may include:
- a limited deletion tombstone containing the authentication subject identifier for approximately 90 days, used to prevent a deleted account from being recreated by an old authentication token;
- failed deletion records until the deletion process is resumed or resolved;
- billing notification records that are retained without an active user link;
- non-user-specific operational records;
- shared creator-avatar cache objects;
- background job records with the user reference removed;
- infrastructure logs;
- temporary or historical backups;
- records retained independently by Apple, Google or other third-party providers;
- analytics history already stored by a third-party analytics provider;
- data previously processed by an AI provider according to that provider’s retention practices.
Pinqo does not use the retained deletion tombstone as an active user profile and does not retain the deleted account’s email address or saved library content in that tombstone.
5. Local device data
After account deletion, Pinqo also attempts to clear local account-related data from the device, including:
- authentication/session data;
- OAuth and PKCE state;
- cached onboarding state;
- queued share-extension account data;
- locally cached media associated with the account.
Some non-user-specific configuration, such as the API service address, may remain on the device because it is application configuration rather than personal account data.
6. Subscriptions
Deleting your Pinqo account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.
To stop future renewals, you must cancel the subscription through the applicable store account.
Deleting the Pinqo account and cancelling an app-store subscription are separate actions.
7. Third-party data
Deleting your Pinqo account removes data under Pinqo’s direct control as described above.
It does not automatically erase information independently retained by third parties, including:
- Apple;
- Google;
- analytics providers;
- AI providers;
- infrastructure and backup providers;
- third-party platforms from which public metadata was retrieved.
Those providers may retain information according to their own terms, legal obligations and retention policies.
8. Verification of external requests
If you contact us outside the app to request deletion, we may take reasonable steps to verify that you are the account holder.
Verification may include asking you to contact us from the email address associated with the account or completing another proportionate verification step.
We will not intentionally request information that is unnecessary for verifying the request.
9. Processing time and technical retries
In-app account deletion is processed through a server-side deletion workflow.
Most deletion steps are intended to complete promptly, but some technical operations may require retries, for example if a third-party authentication or storage service is temporarily unavailable.
A deletion request may remain pending or failed until the relevant step is retried or resolved.
